About The Position

The Architect builds and supports established Architectural initiatives used by the Design Manager for the CDCC / CDE business units, both in the office and in the field. The role provides Architectural leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from design and construction through facilities management. It supports Industrial Design / Design-Build projects, project pursuits, construction-document milestones, drafting workflows, and collaboration with Preconstruction on 5D / Model Based Estimating.

The work is primarily office-based, with periodic construction-site visits to gather project data and information. The Architect must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs and may travel for short periods of 2–5 days.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience.
• Experience in industrial construction means and methods, especially applying technology across projects of varying size and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Provide Architectural leadership for Industrial Design / Design-Build projects.
• Produce rendered images and videos, construction documents (drawings and specifications), and marketing material for project pursuits.
• Provide and deliver required deliverables for construction-document milestones.
• Continue development of drafting templates and libraries for Design workflows.
• Support 5D / Model Based Estimating collaboration with Preconstruction.
• Provide Architectural leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from design and construction to facilities management.
• Visit construction sites periodically to gather project data and information.
