About The Position

The Archery Technician performs selling and customer-service activities, including greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information and assistance, assembling products, and giving customers direction and instruction. The role supports a pleasant, productive shopping experience and a high standard of customer service.

The technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, and tunes archery equipment to ensure it is safe and functioning properly; installs accessories on bows; and demonstrates products. The role also answers customers’ technical questions, provides instruction on safety and product features, and continues technical training to strengthen proficiency and product knowledge. Additional duties include supporting inventory and pricing accuracy, maintaining product displays, replenishing shelves, and keeping the work area clean and organized. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience with bow setup.
• Ability to set up bows for customers, including determining draw length, identifying eye dominance, and determining draw weight.
• Ability to assemble bows and install accessories, including kisser buttons, peep sights, D-loops, nocks, and scopes.
• Knowledge of arrow setup, including arrow length, spine, and insert installation.
• Ability to operate equipment and tools including a bow press and chop saw.
• Ability to instruct customers on safety, accessories, bow features, and brand awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and contribute to a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and tune archery equipment to ensure it is safe and working properly.
• Install accessories on bows and demonstrate products to customers.
• Answer customers’ technical questions about equipment operation and work performed or planned.
• Continue technical training to improve proficiency, work quality, and product knowledge.
• Assist with pricing and UPC integrity, assortment decisions, inventory accuracy, and product displays, signage, and pricing.
• Help customers make purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Keep the work area organized, clean, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as needed.
