AR Specialist I
About The Position
This position is responsible for the billing of insurance claims and the resolution of issues preventing the payment of outstanding accounts receivable, for assigned payer(s). Demonstrates a working knowledge of business operations. Positive attitude, attention to detail, questioning attitude, willingness to collaborate with leadership and other team members to continuously improve processes. Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET). This is a hybrid position located at 800 Independence Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA, requiring three days in the office and two days work from home after approval from training/onboarding. The position status is Full-time, Day Shift.
Requirements
- A total of one year of experience across the following: billing or resolving insurance accounts receivable, adjudicating insurance claims, pre-registering or registering patients for healthcare services, handling calls in a customer service call center.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong Excel Skills- Creating Spreadsheets, Pivot Tables
- Denials experience
- Authorizations experience
- Medicaid knowledge
Nice To Haves
- A healthcare certification from an accredited program or an Associate degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
