MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. This role focuses on collections for named managed/national MRC Global accounts, addressing root cause issues that lead to delinquent payments. The position involves building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships, including annual travel to customer sites. A key aspect is analyzing large datasets to understand and resolve complex issues between MRC Global and its key accounts. The role requires researching issues contributing to outstanding amounts using periodic aging data, understanding customer accounting systems to modify data transfer, and making collection calls based on a weekly priority list and monthly aging reports. It also involves arranging payment schedules, resolving payment-blocking issues with customers and branches, and reviewing/forwarding daily payment discrepancy notices. The AR Partner will work with customers and service centers to resolve discrepancies through interpersonal communication and transaction research using SIMS and other MRC systems, with a primary focus on resolving issues for managed accounts. The role also includes taking responsibility for personal safety and reporting workplace hazards.
