About The Position

TMC Therapy Management Corporation is hiring a motivated, results-driven AR Medical Billing Specialist to support its Therapy at Home company. The role is based in the company’s home office in Homosassa, Florida, and is not remote. The specialist handles therapy claims billing and payment posting, payer and patient account questions, insurance verification and authorizations, and billing-related monthly close and reporting. The position requires attention to detail, independence, organization, and effective collaboration with team members and customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of Medicare billing insurance experience.
Knowledge of billing and insurance terminology.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Customer service skills.
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Compliance-focused and detail-oriented approach.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Net Health software.

Responsibilities

Bill therapy claims weekly to carriers, Medicare, secondary payers, and other applicable payers.
Research and resolve issues with payers that arise from billing.
Post weekly payments into Net Health.
Collect patient deductibles, coinsurance, and copays as needed.
Handle questions about patient statements.
Assist with therapist credentialing as needed.
Immediately communicate customer service issues or the need for customer service recovery to the Program Director.
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve positive outcomes.
Verify insurance for patient referrals.
Provide backup and support to the Intake Coordinator when necessary.
Obtain authorizations required for patient evaluations and treatment.
Review onboarding paperwork for accuracy and completion; obtain copies of patient IDs and insurance cards for charts and ensure a payment source is in place.
Process monthly close and reporting.
Perform other duties as assigned.
