About The Position

W&B Service Company has an excellent opportunity for an AR Clerk. We are the largest transport refrigeration dealer of Carrier Transicold, a world leader in Truck, Trailer and rail refrigeration systems. We have 21 facilities throughout the Southwest, including Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. This position is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the company. This role also serves as an auditor and collector, ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services completed by the company.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of Accounts Receivables Experience
2+years of Collections Experience
Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
Ability to recognize discrepancies and research issue
Able to meet deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Attention to detail and high accuracy
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Skill with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

Transportation or Dealership Experience preferred

Responsibilities

Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, ACH, wire and credit card transactions
Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits
Researches and solves payment discrepancies
Collections on current and past due accounts
Processes credit card payments and credits
Makes adjustments to accounts as needed
Prepares weekly aging reports for accounting department
Investigate and resolve customer queries
Collection of unpaid invoices
Assist in month-end closing
Other duties as needed to meet business and customer needs
