About The Position

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment helping adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to young members, evaluate swimmers’ abilities to establish appropriate swim levels, and help maintain clean and orderly Aquatics Facilities.

Requirements

• Be working toward a High School Diploma or GED.
• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire.
• Be able to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods.
• Be able to communicate and exchange information with guests asking about Life Time products and services.
• Be able to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Be able to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 pounds or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Hold StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications, or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within the first year, whichever comes first. In Canada, hold Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons and Aquatics events.
• Respond to member questions, comments, and concerns.
• Provide a safe, clean, and organized pool area.
• Promote and sell Aquatics programs and services.
