About The Position

As an Aquatics Swim Instructor, you will work in a fast-paced environment helping adults and children improve their swimming. You will teach life skills to young members, evaluate swimming ability to establish the appropriate swim level, and help maintain clean and orderly Aquatics Facilities. Requirements

• Working toward a High School Diploma or GED.
• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20 lbs.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification, or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within the first year, whichever is first. For Canada: Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Nice To Haves

• Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct swimming lessons and Aquatics events.
• Respond to member questions, comments, and concerns.
• Provide a safe, clean, and organized pool area.
• Promote and sell Aquatics programs and services.
• Evaluate swimming ability to establish the appropriate swim level.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and order of Aquatics Facilities.
