AQUATICS AID - 16 years or older
About The Position
Our Aids are not certified lifeguards, but they do play a vital role in the safety and upkeep of the Pratt Aquatic Center. We'll teach you how to enforce center rules with a smile (including showering before entering pool); assist as a second set of eyes for safety purposes; assist with keeping the facility clean; and help our instructors during swim lessons. You'll be surrounded by both teens and adults who have a shared goal of ensuring our patrons have a good time but return home safely. This is a great entry level work opportunity. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
Responsibilities
- Assists with setup of swim lessons and/or acts as an assistant to swim instructors during lessons
- Assists with setup of special functions and events
- Moves equipment and material as directed
- Provides assistance to cashiers and concessions operators under supervision
- Monitors pool entrance to ensure individuals have showered prior to entry
- Performs custodial duties as assigned including, but not limited to, emptying garbage cans, sweeping and mopping floors, washing facility equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
