Make a difference as an Aquatic Coordinator As the Aquatic Coordinator at the Fort Meigs YMCA, you'll be the energetic leader responsible for scheduling and supervising lifeguards and swim instructors, ensuring our aquatic programs run smoothly. Join us in filling in for absent staff when needed and help secure substitutes to maintain a safe environment for our community. You'll also assist in conducting lifeguard in-services and trainings, equipping our team with the skills to excel. Collaborating with the Aquatic Director, you'll play a vital role in hiring, coaching, and disciplining staff, while performing weekly safety checks to keep our pool safe and enjoyable. Your organizational skills will shine as you assist with payroll duties and coordinate pool schedules. Additionally, you'll contribute to the development and implementation of our Aquatics program's communication and marketing strategies, making this role both dynamic and impactful!

Requirements

Minimum age of 21
High school diploma or equivalent
Certified lifeguard status
Up-to-date CPR, First Aid, AED, and O2 certifications (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and ability to make independent decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct engaging in-service programs

Responsibilities

Scheduling and supervising lifeguards and swim instructors
Ensuring aquatic programs run smoothly
