About The Position

This is a part-time, seasonal position for an Aqua Bartender/Cook located at the outside Pool Deck. The role involves preparing and serving food and beverages, operating a cash register, maintaining sanitation standards, and managing time efficiently. The position requires knowledge of food and drink menus, proper alcohol awareness, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include both bartending duties and cooking tasks such as operating a pizza oven, grill, and fryer, as well as performing opening, during shift, and closing duties to ensure a clean and well-stocked work area.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Familiarity with standard drink recipes.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to handle money.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Eye to hand coordination.
  • Depth perception.
  • Effective verbal communication.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive beverage and food orders directly from guests at the bar and pool area.
  • Prepare drinks and menu items with proper proportions and ingredients.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and drink menus, cocktails, beers, wines, glassware, pricing, and cash/comp procedures.
  • Operate cash register system and manage cash, receipts, and comp tickets.
  • Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, personal grooming, and personal conduct.
  • Be observant and aware of guest needs at all times.
  • Move efficiently between tasks and manage own time effectively, anticipating needs without direct instruction.
  • Observe proper alcohol awareness rules when servicing guests.
  • Prep and prepare food for guests as needed.
  • Prepare foods according to standardized menus, recipes, or verbal instructions.
  • Gather and combine ingredients, wash, slice, chop, measure, mix, and weigh food products.
  • Cook food using a pizza oven, grill, and fryer.
  • Arrange food attractively and keep it adequately stocked in the prep cooler.
  • Store food in designated areas, clean equipment, and maintain a sanitary work area.
  • Clean all utensils and return them to the bar area.
  • Perform opening duties including setting up the bar, stocking beverages, preparing sanitation buckets, prepping items, and setting up liquor.
  • Ensure timely preparation of tickets during the shift.
  • Keep the prep station clean and stocked at all times.
  • Complete transfer and waste logs.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen and work area, including sweeping floors and taking out trash.
  • Perform thorough cleaning duties during closing, including all equipment, coolers, and stainless steel surfaces.
  • Complete the Agua duties checklist and have it signed off by the supervisor.
  • Lock up designated areas at the end of the shift.
