About The Position
For clinic assignment, under the supervision of an attending physician, this position provides diagnostic and therapeutic health care coverage for patients. Duties include taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, coordinating laboratory tests and diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and assisting patients with treatment plans and education. Other duties may include sharing call hours, providing phone coverage, and seeing admitted patients within the hospital.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Meet Medical Staff Office requirements to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an APRN within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable.
- Current and clear license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Florida.
- BLS certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Take patients’ medical histories.
