Requirements

  • Should be able to learn and apply all of the essential functions of the job.
  • All employees in this program will be on probation for a period of 2000 hours.
  • Performance will be reviewed by the Joint Apprenticeship Committee regular intervals.
  • Upon completion of the apprenticeship program the candidate will be moved to the Journeyman’s pay rate of a Grade ST-C.
  • Apprentices will be required to work across all (3) shifts.
  • Internal candidate’s hourly wage will be determined by the current hourly pay reviewed by the Joint Apprenticeship Committee.

  • All Apprentice candidates are required to pass a RISE Tier 1 Exam (Math and English)
  • Exams are given and administered by Cleveland Community College.
  • The applicants that meet the minimum test scores requirements in RISE Testing will receive an interview from the Joint Apprenticeship Committee.
  • Minimum test scores are as follows: RISE Tier 1 Testing · Math: 70% · English: 70%
  • All candidates must provide a hard copy of the test results or Email test result information to Steve Dean [email protected]
  • The selection for these positions will be determined by scores and skillset through a Joint Apprenticeship Selection Committee comprised of equal number of designated members from the Company and Local 5286
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check
  • Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • All hands-on training will be provided by a certified Journeyman.
  • This will include repair of electrical, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • You will perform various duties involved in repair and maintenance of a wide variety of machines that make up or Ecoat, Powder coat and Wastewater systems.
  • You will also be required to attend formal classroom training in maintenance related skills and Wastewater Certifications.
  • All educational requirements must be completed within a four-year, 8000-hour apprenticeship period.
