Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with 480V/208V electricity and experience using a Multi Meter.
  • LOTO (Lock out Tag out) Experience Required.
  • Knowledge of pumps, Transformers and Testing to ensure operation.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in the HVAC industry; or education (Technical School) is preferred.
  • Cooling Tower Experience preferred.
  • Experience Cleaning Condenser Coils preferred.
  • Universal EPA Certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting HVAC Technicians in the daily maintenance, repair, operation and inspection of rental equipment, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts.
  • Comprehending rental modifications and application needs.
  • Using, caring for, and operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes and switcher trucks.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation to support rental operations.
  • Handling other situations that may be required to maintain a smooth and continuous operation of the facility.
  • Functioning as a team member to help with project installations.
  • Establishing & maintaining a positive relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills via phone, computer, and face to face.
  • Supporting the Team Leader with rental fleet maintenance activities, safety/housekeeping, and job order fulfillment.
  • Representing the company with direct customer contact and under direction from the HVAC Technician, assisting in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating with HVAC Technician to ensure rental equipment preparation and readiness for customers and delivery of parts to job sites, as necessary.
  • Performing vehicle maintenance, as necessary.
  • Continually enforcing safety to the highest standards and maintaining security and accountability of company issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
  • Displaying team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays (20 to 25 % Travel).
