About The Position

PAG Direct is looking to hire a full-time flat-rate Level 3 Apprentice Technician to join the team at Richmond Hill Hyundai! The Service Technicians and/or Apprentices are responsible for carrying out of the servicing requirements. Must enhance the Workshop's capability by servicing and repairing vehicle components and systems through manufacturer’s and dealership’s specified Quality procedures, Standards and Specifications. The Service Technician is directly reporting to service manager.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License with recent drivers abstract
  • Previous experience changing, balancing and mounting tires is a MUST
  • Able to establish and maintain good working relations with customers and staff.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and standing for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • General Service Department experience preferred
  • Automotive Apprentice Technician: 1-3 years (preferred)
  • Dealership: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and advanced vehicle maintenance and mechanical repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards, including brake service, suspension components, tire replacement, and general mechanical repairs.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify required maintenance, mechanical issues, and safety concerns, and document findings accurately.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns using diagnostic tools, manufacturer software, and technical service information.
  • Maintain accurate time records by clocking in and out of assigned repair orders and personal time, ensuring proper job tracking and productivity reporting.
  • Obtain, return, and properly tag parts through the Parts Department, ensuring correct part usage and inventory accountability.
  • Stay current with manufacturer communications, including FIRFT, Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), recalls, and warranty policies, and apply updates as required during repairs.
  • Perform tire rotations, balancing, mounting, and replacements in accordance with service guidelines.
  • Ensure all work meets quality control standards and dealership procedures before vehicle release.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, time management, and professionalism while working efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
