About The Position
Generator Supercenter is seeking a dependable, hardworking Apprentice Plumber to join its Installation Department. The role assists licensed plumbers with residential standby generator installations, including gas piping, trenching, and plumbing connections. The position offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop skills for advancement in the plumbing industry. New hires complete a 90-day probationary period and are expected to demonstrate reliability, punctuality, safe work practices, and satisfactory performance. During this period, employees must obtain a Texas Plumbing Apprentice Registration and the required basic plumbing hand tools. The job description notes that duties are not all-inclusive and that employees may perform other related duties to meet organizational needs. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid, active driver's license.
- Must obtain a Texas Plumbing Apprentice Registration (Apprentice Card) within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must acquire the required basic plumbing hand tools within the 90-day probationary period.
- Must be physically capable of digging, lifting, carrying materials, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must have reliable transportation and maintain dependable attendance.
- Must be willing to learn and follow instructions from licensed plumbers and supervisors.
Nice To Haves
- Previous plumbing or construction experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with residential generator gas line installations and connections.
- Dig trenches and assist with underground gas piping installations.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping and fittings under supervision.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites.
- Follow applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company installation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
- Perform additional installation-related duties as assigned.
