Apprentice Plumber
About The Position
Roto-Rooter is hiring an Apprentice Plumber/service technician to diagnose and resolve plumbing and drain problems for customers. The role includes assessing problems, providing cost estimates, completing repairs, documenting estimates and invoices, collecting payment, and traveling between service calls. No prior plumbing experience is necessary. Roto-Rooter provides 12 weeks of paid training at $20 per hour and guidance through the plumber licensing process. First-year service technicians earn an average of $55,000, and compensation can increase with experience. During training, the stated hourly pay range is $17 to $20. After training, hourly pay is at or above minimum wage for hours worked, with potential commissions on revenue and product and treatment sales.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
- Prior plumbing experience is not necessary.
Responsibilities
