Apprentice Plumber-Service Technician
About The Position
Roto-Rooter is hiring an Apprentice Plumber/Service Technician to diagnose and resolve plumbing and drain issues while providing effective service and customer satisfaction. The company provides eight weeks of paid initial training, continued training through its plumbing school, and guidance through the plumber licensing process. First-year service technicians can expect to earn an average of $65,000–$85,000, with pay increasing quickly as experience grows. Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter is a plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider operating company-owned branches, independent contractor territories, and independent franchise operations across North America.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude is desirable; prior plumbing experience is not necessary.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose plumbing and drain issues during service calls and provide cost estimates.
- Make the necessary repairs for customers.
- Document estimates and invoices in writing and on a provided smartphone.
- Collect payment and proceed to the next service call.
- Provide effective solutions while ensuring customer satisfaction.
