About The Position
Roto-Rooter is North America's largest plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider, operating company-owned branches, independent contractor territories, and franchise operations across the U.S. and parts of Canada. The company offers an opportunity to learn the plumbing trade while working, with 12 weeks of initial paid training and continued training through its plumbing school. Roto-Rooter also guides apprentices through the plumber licensing process to support career advancement. Apprentice Plumbers/Service Technicians diagnose plumbing and drain issues, provide customers with cost estimates, complete repairs, document estimates and invoices, and collect payment. The stated average salary range for Roto-Rooter service technicians is $65,000–$82,000, with pay increasing as experience grows.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
- Prior plumbing experience is not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose plumbing and drain issues.
- Offer cost estimates to customers and finalize the transaction.
- Make the necessary repairs for the customer.
- Document estimates and invoices in writing and on a provided smartphone.
- Collect payment and proceed to the next service call.
