Apprentice Plumber
About The Position
The Apprentice Plumber learns the plumbing trade through hands-on experience under the supervision of a licensed plumber. The role assists with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems while building familiarity with tools, materials, and job-site procedures. The apprentice also studies plumbing codes, safety standards, and technical concepts involving water and gas systems. Through on-the-job training, the apprentice accumulates the hours and knowledge needed to qualify for the journeyman plumber exam, with the eventual goal of becoming a licensed professional able to work independently.
Requirements
- Meet company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license.
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools.

- Plumbing apprentice license with one or more years of field experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform entry-level work independently in boiler replacement applications.
- Perform entry-level work independently in plumbing applications.
- Perform entry-level work independently in flue venting applications.
- Assist with advanced applications of home comfort products.
- Perform clerical duties necessary to complete job work orders.
- Perform assigned job duties, including clerical tasks, as directed by lead technicians.
- Assist experienced plumbing technicians with daily work-related plumbing skills.
- Learn installation applications for plumbing systems, equipment, and products.
