About The Position
Roto-Rooter is hiring an Apprentice Plumber/service technician to diagnose and resolve plumbing and drain issues while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role begins with 12 weeks of paid training, followed by continued training through Roto-Rooter’s plumbing school. Employees earn while learning the trade and receive guidance through the plumber licensing process. First-year service technicians earn an average of $55,000, and the stated salary range is $50,000–$70,000 per year. This is a commissioned, non-exempt position.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical aptitude is desirable.
- Prior plumbing experience is not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose plumbing and drain issues during service calls.
- Offer cost estimates and finalize service transactions.
- Make necessary repairs for customers.
- Document estimates and invoices in writing and on a provided smartphone.
- Collect payment and proceed to the next service call.
