About The Position

Roto-Rooter is hiring an Apprentice Plumber/service technician to diagnose and resolve customers’ plumbing and drain issues. The company provides 12 weeks of paid initial training, continued training through its plumbing school, and guidance through the plumber licensing process. The position is commission-based with a guaranteed minimum hourly rate; the posting estimates annual pay at $60,000–$120,000, with increases as experience grows.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.

• Mechanical aptitude is desirable; prior plumbing experience is not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing and drain issues during service calls.
• Offer cost estimates and finalize the transaction.
• Make necessary repairs for customers.
• Document estimates and invoices in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and proceed to the next service call.
