About The Position

Apprentice Plumber/ Service Technician. First year Roto-Rooter service technicians can expect top-pay, earning $55,000, on average. Pay increases quickly with each year of experience. Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus continuing training in our plumbing school to learn the trade. Your daily job will be providing sewer & drain service to our residential and commercial customers. But, Roto-Rooter also allows you to schedule time riding with, and working alongside, a licensed plumber so you can gain the apprentice hours and knowledge needed to become a plumber.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license
Excellent communication skills.
A mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior plumbing experience is not necessary.

Responsibilities

Roto-Rooter plumbing apprentices/service technicians utilize their skills to provide effective solutions for plumbing and drain issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
A plumbing service call commences with diagnosing issues and offering cost estimates to finalize the transaction.
Make the necessary repairs for the customer.
Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smart phone.
Collect payment and move on to the next service call.
