About The Position

Responsibilities

During your four-year (8000 hour) apprenticeship, Company paid college classes required along with gaining experience observing tasks on the floor and progress to hands on experience with repair and troubleshooting.
Blueprint reading, Service Manuals, Understand Geometric Tolerance
Welding Types, Vertical, Horizontal, Overhead, Pressure Vessel, introduced to Brazing and silver soldering
Hydraulics Training, Trouble shoot a Hydraulic problem, Uses and can Read Hydraulic Schematics
Pipe fitting and plumbing, Can Identify Pipe Fittings- High Pressure Steel VS Malleable, demonstrate ability to Thread Two Different Size Pipe, Pipe Sealer Needs to be used on Hydraulics, Steam, Water, Gas
Boilers, Boiler controls, Safety Alarms, how to trouble shoot boiler issues
Furnaces, Startup and shut down procedures, Adjusting Burners with gas and air mixture controls
Tube bending, Plan, Layout and execute a job, understand how to do Complex bends i.e., Elevation and Direction
Rigging, can perform Crane inspection, understand how to use lifting straps all types, Plan a complex lift (Uneven load requiring more than one device)
