About The Position
WF Steel and Crane is seeking an Apprentice Maintenance Electrician to join their Facility Maintenance Team. This is a full-time, regular position based in Nisku, Alberta. The role involves working directly with the maintenance department in a structural steel and crane fabrication facility. While primarily an electrical role, a well-rounded understanding of facility and steel processing equipment maintenance is considered an asset. Requirements
- 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician
- Able to read schematic diagrams and blue prints
- Competent electrical knowledge
- Experience with lifting equipment, their control systems and types
- Practical knowledge of Inverters and electrical controls
- Experience with cable glanding and terminating
- Wiring Experience
- Good natural communicator
- Diligent worker who can operate within a team or autonomously as required
- Good problem solver
- Keenness to continue training on new equipment and legislation
- Ability to work at heights
- Highly developed communication skills in English, both in written and verbal situations
Nice To Haves
- Well-rounded understanding of Building/Facility and Steel Processing Equipment maintenance is an asset.
