About The Position

Signet Jewelers is hiring an entry-level Apprentice Jeweler for its Field Design & Service Center Team. The role offers a training program to develop skills from apprentice toward Bench Jeweler, with opportunities to progress in a promote-from-within environment. Candidates with a passion for learning the jeweler trade are considered, including those without prior jewelry experience.

The apprentice learns the business through administrative and customer-service responsibilities, jewelry intake and tracking, polishing, quality control, and the basics of jewelry repair. The team provides custom jewelry design and repair services with a focus on exceeding customer expectations. The position is full-time, with a 40-hour work week and seasonal required overtime; hours vary and include some nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• High standard for quality work.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and time effectively.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving.
• Some knowledge of jewelry or jewelry repair/design is preferred, but not required.
• Availability for varying hours, including some nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and interact with customers and stores.
• Complete administrative and clerical tasks.
• Photograph jewelry for intake and tracking.
• Learn jewelry repair basics, including polishing and quality control.
• Train toward becoming a Bench Jeweler.
• Contribute to custom jewelry design and repair services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
