About The Position
Signit Inc DBA FASTSIGNS is hiring for a full-time Fabricator Trainee to join our team for a new career opportunity. The ideal candidate is available to work 5 days full time, possesses a high school diploma or equivalent, and is eager to learn new skills and production techniques in the sign industry.
Requirements
- Available to work 5 days full time and excited regarding learning new skills and production techniques.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
- Ability to lift 50 or reasonable pounds and willing to ask for help when needed.
- Flexibility to lean over when needed to perform job skills
- Ability to work under pressure when needed to complete work assignment timely
- Desire to learn proper use of power equipment
Responsibilities
- Prepare substrates for application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning
- Learn to Operate and maintain tools and machinery
- Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards
- Learn and perform finishing operations such as electrical lighting standards per NEC Code
- Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager.
- Clean and maintain storage areas
