As an apprentice, you will be enrolled in and participate in Howe’s state-registered apprenticeship program, T.E.K. (Technology, Experience, and Knowledge). You will assist in the installation and fabrication of sheet metal ducts, spiral ducts, roof top units, and other commercial HVAC equipment and projects according to plans. Each day and every job-site may be different, as you navigate installing auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment such as registers, air ducts, blowers, dampers, and flues. You will participate in a monthly Howe-facilitated classroom training where you will learn how to read and understand blueprints, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and carry out additional assignments as directed. You will also learn the importance of maintaining your tools, repairing equipment, and keeping your work areas neat, clean, and free of debris.
