About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is a locally owned and operated company with over 75 years of history in Hawaii. This is a part-time position (24+ hours) where Fish Cutters are responsible for ensuring seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality products. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, cutting, preparing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising seafood products. They also manage inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste, attend the service case, assist customers with requests and questions, and help increase sales by offering samples and recommending additional items. Fish cutters work with equipment such as wrapping machines and knives.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 75 pounds
Must successfully pass apprentice/training program (applies to apprentice only)
Must have TB Clearance
Must comply with all company policies and requirements

Nice To Haves

High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

Ensuring the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers
Receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise seafood department products
Proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste
Attend the service case
Assist customers with special requests, and answer questions about our seafood products
Help increase sales by offering product samples and by recommending additional items
