About The Position

The Apprentice Engineer develops hands-on technical expertise while helping maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for hotel guests and team members. The role supports engineers and trade mechanics and gains experience with repairs, maintenance, inspections, documentation, and department administration across guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and learn from trade mechanics while supporting the safety and functionality of guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and masonry.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and heart-of-house areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Document completed inspections and repairs and flag issues requiring further attention.
• Assist with department office duties, including receiving deliveries and running errands for materials and parts.
