About The Position
This is a full-time position at The Langham, Chicago, where the Apprentice Engineer will be responsible for assisting building engineers in all their duties. The role requires the individual to work in a safe, prudent, and highly organized manner, maintain a clean work area, and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer. The apprentice must always conduct themselves professionally to reflect the Hotel's standards and be a current member in good standing with IUOE Local 399.
Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders to access ceilings and high walls.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs.
- Current member in good standing with IUOE Local 399.
- Guest/Client focused, detail orientated individual.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced work environment.
- Confident individual who is willing to assume responsibility.
- Demonstrates high degree of drive and determination.
- Adaptive and flexible (changing technologies, processes, environments).
- Ability to work and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Team player.
