About The Position

The Apprentice Electrician plays a vital role in Crusoe's Manufacturing team, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to learn from experienced electricians and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. You will assist with diagnostic, repair, assembly, and installation of various electrical components and systems, directly impacting the efficiency and reliability of our operations. This role is crucial for maintaining our infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted production. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual currently enrolled in a Journeyman Electrician program, possessing a strong work ethic and a desire to learn. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in a Journeyman Electrician program.
  • Basic understanding of electrical work and terminology.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Aptitude for using tools and performing technical tasks.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, and stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist electricians with diagnosing, repairing, assembling, and installing diverse electrical components and systems.
  • Interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
  • Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to complete electrical tasks effectively.
  • Order electrical parts, maintain accurate work logs, and collaborate with other service workers on large projects.
  • Help identify defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, repair equipment, and replace defective parts.
  • Work closely with electricians and other team members to identify and solve problems.
  • Actively seek opportunities to learn new skills and expand your electrical knowledge.
