Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must pass the math qualifying test.
Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude.
The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.
Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.

Responsibilities

Responsible for learning and performing minor maintenance/operations activities independently, with minimal supervision, or support journeymen in their maintenance activities.
Attend required classroom training sessions.
Perform on-the-job training activities in appropriate discipline.
Perform safe operation of maintenance mobile equipment such as forklifts, stinger trucks and overhead and mobile cranes.
Perform work area and equipment safety inspections.
Perform other duties as required.
