About The Position

Supports and assists chefs, cooks, and broiler cooks to ensure smooth service for internal and external guests. Performs all tasks directed by supervisors. Ensures service standards are met and that all food and beverage outlet operations comply with Clark County Health Department standards.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds of product and push up to 250 pounds on a cart.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures ranging from -10 degrees to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must have the physical ability to stand for long periods, walk frequently, stoop, bend, or reach to a height of 6 feet.
  • Requires normal or corrective vision ranges and the absence of color blindness.
  • Requires good eye-to-hand coordination.
  • Requires a normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound.
  • Ability to read, speak, and communicate effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of kitchens, kitchen equipment, and basic food handling techniques with no less than 6 months in a kitchen operation.
  • Ability to obtain all government/county required licenses or certificates.

  • Maintain valid work cards at all times during the shift.

  • Maintain professional personal grooming and uniform standards.
  • Have complete knowledge of MSDS booklet and locations.
  • Display knowledge of all emergency procedures.
  • Treat all staff members with care, dignity, fairness, respect, and recognition.
  • Work productively with supervisors and peers.
  • Display and encourage teamwork within departments.
  • Maintain knowledge of kitchen operations and the flow of foods.
  • Maintain knowledge of kitchen equipment and its operations.
  • Work with team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Attend work regularly to conform to company standards.
  • Follow established company rules and regulations.
  • Communicate with supervisors and staff to ensure smooth transitions of shifts and tasks.
