About The Position

The Appointment Scheduling Specialist at the Heart & Vascular Specialist Clinic is responsible for delivering care to patients utilizing the Appointment Scheduling Specialist Process. This role involves scheduling all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures, tests, and studies by the physician. The specialist will answer phone calls, schedule patient appointments, conduct patient pre-certification to ensure coverage, schedule tests, procedures, and referral appointments. They will also communicate with patients regarding appointments and instructions, potentially collect fees like co-pays/co-insurance, and gather insurance information and patient personal data. A key aspect of this role is demonstrating positive professional customer service in all interactions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Requires strong customer skills
• Good communication skills
• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
• A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Related experience in Healthcare environment (strongly preferred)
