About The Position

Anthropic is hiring an Applied AI Security Architect to serve as a trusted security expert for enterprise customers in healthcare and life sciences. This pre-sales technical role engages directly with CISOs, security architects, compliance officers, and technical leaders to answer questions about deploying Claude safely and securely. The architect explains Claude’s security architecture, data handling practices, and deployment options, and partners with customers to design solutions that meet their regulatory and organizational requirements. The role requires substantial experience in enterprise security, cloud architecture, and technical pre-sales within regulated industries. The architect will help define how enterprises approach security and compliance for AI, including topics such as MCP, autonomous agents, and RBAC. The position regularly involves customer-site travel for workshops, architecture reviews, and strategic account meetings. Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. Its location-based hybrid policy currently expects staff to work from an office at least 25% of the time, though some roles may require more. The company offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration.
