About The Position

Tenstorrent is seeking an Applied AI Intern to join their People Operations and People Programs team. This role is focused on transforming how work is done by moving away from manual processes and fragmented systems towards automation, redesign, and a more structured, scalable operational model using AI, workflows, and system design. The intern will identify inefficiencies, build solutions to automate repetitive tasks, design new support models, and create systems for increased speed and consistency. This is an unstructured internship where the intern will bring structure to ambiguity and drive solutions forward, working at the intersection of technical execution, operations, and human workflows. The role has a minimum term of 12 months and is based onsite in Toronto, ON.

Requirements

Ability to design, build, and iterate on end-to-end workflows across multiple systems.
Ability to build automation that reduces manual work and improves consistency.
Experience integrating tools using APIs, webhooks, or similar approaches.
Ability to translate operational problems into technical solutions and working prototypes.
Comfort working across multiple tools and selecting the right approach for the problem.
Strong execution mindset.
Ability to quickly learn new systems and apply them effectively in practice.

Responsibilities

Build the infrastructure layer that connects systems and supports team operations.
Design and implement automation across systems and workflows.
Translate operational needs into structured, buildable systems.
Develop internal HR products to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
Help define and build a new support model that reduces manual work and replaces reactive processes.
Contribute to shaping team operations by introducing new ways of working enabled by AI and automation.
