The N.C. Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) serves as the Technology Center for the State of NC, providing technology services to state and local government agencies, as well as schools, colleges and universities. NCDIT’s mission is to enable trusted business-driven solutions that meet the needs of North Carolinians. This position is designated Statutory Exempt (EHRA) and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act. This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agency’s remote work program but does require weekly onsite work. The role involves building the next generation of collaboration and automation tools for the North Carolina Department of Transportation using Microsoft Power Platform, including SharePoint, M365, Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Teams. The primary responsibility is to support the DIT-T Web Systems UI Design Unit as a dedicated automation and workflow developer, building complex collaboration tools and applications, performing requirements and testing analysis, and mentoring junior developers. This position will lead projects with NCDOT stakeholders, external vendors, and internal NCDIT-Transportation teams to deliver collaboration and automation solutions.
