About The Position
The Applications Systems Analyst supports current and future business systems, computers, infrastructure, and related user requirements. The role supports users and performs tasks and projects involving business systems, related applications, and Information Technology projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, or 7+ years of professional experience in lieu of meeting the educational requirement.
- 3 to 5 years of experience directly related to the specified duties and responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products and database concepts.
- Knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user business systems, applications, and/or equipment.
- Working knowledge of Infor’s SX.enterprise (CSD) application.
- Proven organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with users and understand the requirements of users in the functional areas of specialty.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the Progress database.
Responsibilities
- Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
- Write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
- Develop and document commonly used practices and procedures.
- Participate in implementing tools created to address identified business requirements.
- Assist with user training.
- Assist in resolving user and system issues involving business systems and MIS systems.
- Support business systems and computer infrastructure, including backup procedures, code movement and testing, upgrades, system maintenance, and project team duties.
- Investigate and resolve system issues through research, analysis, and replication of reported problems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
