About The Position

This Applications Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting the current and future business systems, computers, and infrastructure, as well as user requirements in these areas. The role involves not only supporting users but also being assigned tasks and projects related to business systems, associated applications, and Information Technology projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience required that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; 7+ years of professional experience considered in lieu of the meeting the educational requirement.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products and database concepts.
• Knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user business systems, applications and/or equipment.
• Proven organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with and understand the requirements of the users in the functional areas of specialty.

Nice To Haves

• Progress database a plus.
• Working knowledge of Infor’s SX. enterprise (CSD) application.

Responsibilities

• Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
• Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
• Develops and documents commonly used practices and procedures.
• Participates in the implementation of the tools created to address identified business requirements.
• Assists in the user training process.
• Assists in the resolution of user and system issues surrounding the business system and MIS systems.
• Supports the business systems and computer infrastructure to include back-up procedures, code movement and testing, upgrades, system maintenance and project team duties.
• Investigates and resolves system issues through research, analysis, and replication of reported problems to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
