About The Position

As an Applications Sales Engineer, you'll act as the critical bridge between customers, engineering teams, and sales organizations—helping deliver advanced electronic components and subsystems for demanding aerospace and space environments. This role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong technical expertise with customer-facing communication skills and wants a clear path toward senior technical leadership, business development, or business management opportunities as the company continues to scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • 6–8+ years of experience in: Applications Engineering, Systems Engineering, Technical Sales or Sales Engineering
  • Strong background supporting aerospace, space, or defense electronics applications
  • Experience with radiation-hardened (rad-hard) or radiation-tolerant systems
  • Knowledge of: Power architectures, Electronic subsystems, Embedded computing platforms, Space-qualified hardware
  • Experience supporting technical proposals and customer-facing sales efforts preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and commercial stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical interface for customers during pre-sales and post-sales engagements
  • Develop and present technical solutions, proposals, and product configurations
  • Lead customer meetings, technical reviews, and design discussions
  • Identify customer requirements and align solutions for space systems, aerospace electronics, and high-reliability applications
  • Support capture planning, pricing strategies, and proposal development
  • Build relationships with engineering, procurement, and program management stakeholders
  • Act as a subject matter expert in electronic components, embedded systems, and rad-hard technologies
  • Translate customer requirements into optimized technical solutions
  • Support applications involving power electronics, embedded computing, single-board computers (SBCs), and flight processors
  • Evaluate competitive technologies and support product differentiation strategies
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and respond to customer inquiries
  • Support new product development from concept through production
  • Provide voice-of-customer feedback to engineering and product management teams
  • Identify emerging trends in aerospace, defense, and advanced electronics markets
  • Contribute to next-generation product requirements and technology roadmaps
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams
  • Act as a liaison between internal business units and external customers
  • Support technical training initiatives for customers and internal teams
