Learn how you can start or jumpstart your career with us. Position Summary The Application Engineer is responsible for new pad development and customer application support. This role focuses on developing deep product and process expertise, then transferring that knowledge to customers and local technical teams. The engineer will work closely with Marketing, Product Development, and regional Technical Support teams to ensure successful product introduction and long‑term adoption. The candidate will gain expertise in new products prior to market release and will lead customer introduction through acceptance, including process optimization, customization, early‑stage troubleshooting, and process stabilization. Up to 20% global travel is expected. The selected candidate will contribute to company quality goals and operate in full compliance with safety practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of semiconductor or relevant process development/customer engagement experience.
  • B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or related field.
  • Understanding of semiconductor fabrication; CMP experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in DOE, statistical data analysis, and technical reporting.
  • Knowledge of Fab metrology tools and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in new products prior to market introduction.
  • Lead creation of baseline processes and data packages during final commercialization stages.
  • Transfer product and process knowledge to customers and local technical teams.
  • Support customers with troubleshooting, process optimization, and customization to meet specific requirements.
  • Participate actively in company safety programs.
  • Troubleshoot issues both internally and at customer sites.
  • Contribute to achieving company quality objectives.
  • Ensure high-quality execution, documentation, and reporting.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
