About The Position

We are Herrmann Ultrasonics, a global leader in developing and building machines that join plastics, packaging materials, nonwovens, and metals using ultrasonic vibrations. We are seeking an Applications Engineer for our PLASTICS division to join our team and contribute to the fascinating world of ultrasonic welding.

Requirements

• Basic theoretical knowledge in electrical, pneumatic, and PLC control
• Associates degree
• Strong mechanical aptitude skills
• Creative problem solving mindset
• Excellent communications skills and motivated to build long term relationships with customers and colleagues
• Knowledge of the automation machine industry

Nice To Haves

• One year of relevant mechanical and electrical work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Planning and documentation of Ultrasonic Welding Application development projects
• Providing technical expertise to customers
• Assisting with technical trainings and customer seminars
• Executing Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and customer personnel training
• Providing technical support to customers including phone/email support, on-site, and in-house customer visits
• Assuming emergency and stand-by services including provision of shipping and/or delivery of spare parts
