About The Position

TechniBlend is looking for an ambitious Application Engineer who will be responsible for preparing tailored solutions to our customers in the form of proposals and cost summaries. This role involves processing and evaluating data related to sales inquiries to develop concepts for machine or system design, making recommendations for alternate designs if applicable, and collaborating with other applications team members in the development of creative solutions. The engineer will also coordinate with multiple outside vendors to procure quotations for equipment and gather cost data from historical records and equipment vendors to create cost workbooks. Additionally, the role includes reviewing P&L on product lines to propose updates to pricing and/or options, participating in pre-sale design reviews and customer sales presentations with Sales Representatives (up to 15% travel possible), and communicating with Inside and Outside Sales, customers, and prospects to provide necessary product line, technical, and commercial information to obtain orders. The position also assists in the new order process, including order kickoff, concept reviews, design reviews, and post-shipment reviews, and prepares proposals, process diagrams, and costing summaries. Other tasks assigned by the supervisor may also be part of the role.

Requirements

2 - 5 years in Inside Technical Sales, Project Engineering, Machine Design, or similar background preferred.
2-year technical degree, BS or BA degree in Engineering preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
High level of aptitude in Electrical and Mechanical Design.
Good organization and planning skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
Leadership skills, team player, timeline driven.
Experience working in AutoCAD is required.

Nice To Haves

SolidWorks experience is a plus.
Previous experience in Engineered to Order industries is highly desired.

Responsibilities
