About The Position

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division delivers industry-leading metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Its portfolio includes systems for measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity—key to developing and scaling next-gen IC processes. FaST partners closely with customers from early R&D through high-volume production, ensuring performance and process alignment.

Requirements

  • Master's Level Degree or work experience of 0 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 1 years
  • Understands engineering principles and techniques related to area project activities.
  • Working knowledge of major system components and their interactions.
  • Possesses generalist knowledge of technical areas covered by the department.
  • Good working knowledge of testing techniques.
  • Good working knowledge of various applications.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic customer issues.
  • Strong communication skills especially technical writing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree (Science or Engineering) or BS with 1-3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small projects.
  • Provide support during H2H, PLC, alpha characterization, beta testing, and gap analysis.
  • Contribute to test plan development.
  • Execute detailed characterization or field test plans with minimal supervision.
  • Respond to customer requests and perform routine to moderately complex problem diagnosis and problem resolution.
  • Document technical work and create best known methods (BKMs) on released products.
  • Develop training modules and conduct training for new engineers.
  • Layer owner during moderately complex demos.
  • Interacts with customers to educate and coordinate activities.
  • Good working knowledge of customer use case.
  • Is expected to improve customer relations, understand customer needs, and solves moderately complex problems.
  • Focus is on customer education and problem resolution.
  • Provide solutions to problems of defined scope. Solves moderate to complex problems. Works in complex area with general supervision and support.
