The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Surfscan® division develops unpatterned wafer inspection systems that detect nanoscale particles and surface defects early in semiconductor manufacturing. Its systems monitor wafer quality across a wide range of applications, enabling faster issue identification and improved process control. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Requirements

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Nice To Haves

Optics background is a plus.
Semiconductor processing knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Application development and Field support of next-generation, state-of-the art semiconductor wafer inspection products.
Work at customer fabrication facilities, understand customer needs and provide customized solutions based on available products or work with development groups to develop features to resolve the needs
Develop and review feature requirements, design test plans, collect data, perform analysis, publish results and recommendations in the form of applications notes and best-known methods.
Conduct new tool demonstrations to showcase differentiated performance and develop use cases on new features that help drive tool sales.
Product value demonstration during beta testing, head-to-head (H2H) and evaluation tools in the ramp phase, thereby enabling product penetration and adoption at customer sites.
Investigate semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and develop corresponding inspection solutions to monitor them.
Create and share product value statements and use cases with engineering, marketing and sales groups.
