About The Position

ARSIEM Corporation is seeking an Applications Developer to design, troubleshoot, and implement software code for end-to-end software development in support of a government client in Dulles, Virginia. The role involves developing and maintaining software applications, integrating products and web application RESTful APIs, resolving production issues, and supporting software quality and development standards. The candidate will collaborate across remote and in-person teams and interact directly with customers in project settings or technical demonstrations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma and 4–6 years of directly relevant experience.
At least 2 years of directly relevant applications development experience.
Knowledge of the secure software development lifecycle, code versioning, and maintenance.
Experience assessing and integrating commercial off-the-shelf products.
Knowledge of installing, demonstrating, testing, validating, and evaluating new and existing software, tools, methods, and software measurement technologies.
Operational experience with Python.
Experience working with AWS resources such as S3, SQS, Lambda, Glue, and Route 53.
Knowledge of software application development and RESTful architecture.
Knowledge of data transformation and manipulation via code.
Experience working and developing with containerization software, including Kubernetes and Docker.
Strong communication skills and experience interacting directly with customers in a project environment or technical demonstration.
Ability to work collaboratively across remote and physical locations.
Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Nice To Haves

Experience with two or more of the following: JSON, data analytics, MongoDB, Elastic Search, Databricks, Postgres, Ansible, Vue.js, React, HTML, Podman, process automation, UI development, or CI/CD.
Familiarity with data transformation (ETL).
CSSLP certification.
Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

Design, troubleshoot, and implement software code for end-to-end software development.
Design, develop, enhance, debug, integrate, and implement software.
Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
Research, test, build, and coordinate integration of new products based on user requirements.
Initiate evaluation and recommendation of application software packages and application integration and testing tools.
Resolve software problems and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Design, develop, integrate, and interface with web application RESTful APIs.
Implement recommendations for improving documentation and development process standards.
Ensure quality control of developed and modified prototype software.
