About The Position

This role supports multiple optical manufacturing laboratories using DVI as their primary laboratory management platform. It manages and improves data, reporting, application configuration, and business-process integrations across laboratory operations. The role develops and maintains integrations, scripts, and automated workflows; translates laboratory and operational data into actionable business insight; and resolves complex system and data issues across multiple sources. The position also supports the ongoing development and optimization of applications and operational processes, improving efficiency, accuracy, and visibility across the organization. It uses modern automation and AI-enabled development tools to strengthen solution design, delivery quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in application support, systems integration, data management, or software development.
Strong applied understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
SQL querying and stored procedures.
Relational database systems (RDBMS).
Experience processing and transforming JSON, XML, CSV and delimited files, Flat-file data exchanges.
Experience developing and maintaining scripts using one or more scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, VBScript, Shell scripting.
Working knowledge with REST APIs and data integration concepts.
Experience troubleshooting data and application issues.
Candidates should be prepared to discuss and demonstrate: How they currently use AI tools in their daily work.
Examples of AI-assisted development projects.
Approaches to using AI for: Requirements analysis, Data transformation, Script development, Testing and QA, Documentation generation.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting DVI laboratory management software.
Experience within Optical laboratories, Manufacturing environments, Healthcare technology, Production operations.
Experience with ETL processes, Data warehousing, Business Intelligence tools, Reporting platforms.
Experience integrating SaaS applications through APIs.
Familiarity with source control systems and software development best practices.
Experience supporting cloud-based platforms and services.

Responsibilities

Extract, transform, and present data from DVI and related systems.
Develop recurring and ad hoc reports for operations, production, finance, sales, and management teams.
Create dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations for different audiences.
Validate data accuracy and reconcile information across multiple systems.
Improve data integrity and ‘single source of truth’ reporting.
Maintain pricing tables, product catalogs, translation tables, pricing changes, and related DVI configurations.
Assist users with troubleshooting and functional support related to DVI processes.
Implement and document workflow enhancements. system configurations and operational procedures.
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between DVI and external systems.
Support APIs, import/export processes, automated file exchanges, and middleware solutions.
Maintain and create scripts and automated workflows that improve reduce manual effort and improve quality for data processing, automation, monitoring, and synchronization.
Design and implement solutions for handling JSON, XML, CSV, flat-file, and other structured data formats.
Work with proprietary and commercial applications used throughout the organization.
Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolutions with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Participate in testing, deployment, and change management activities.
Assist with application development, documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.
Leverage AI tools throughout the development lifecycle, including: Requirements gathering, Solution design, Code generation, Documentation, Testing, Quality assurance.
Identify opportunities where AI can improve operational efficiency and development productivity.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that support business objectives.
