About The Position

The Applications Analyst provides analysis and technical support, and maintenance of the software used to support clinical and business processes. The individual is responsible for analyzing user needs and developing solutions to those needs while adhering to and maintaining best practice, organizational and regulatory standards as determined by IT and Organizational Leadership. The Applications Analyst II will develop a clear understanding of the software and tools used to meet the needs of the end user following developed standards. Responsibilities include working with end-users, vendors and internal IT staff supporting business/clinical processes and facilitating cohesive integration of software applications with business and clinical operations. The Applications Analyst support could include a subspecialty in designing and delivering training documentation for software used in business and clinical processes. This includes business and clinical analysis, training materials, user guides, building, testing, and maintaining training environments. The Applications Analyst II may be required to provide support coverage 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The ability and means to regularly travel throughout the UVM Health Network may be required.

Requirements

  • For Epic Application support, certification is required within 120 days of hire with a maximum of three attempts.
  • At least 3 years of experience with application support and/or implementation.
  • Alternatively: 3+ years of experience in IT support or a related role.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
