About The Position

The Application Analyst III is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting clinical, financial, administrative, and/or other healthcare information systems used for patient care delivery and other organizational functions. This role oversees practices and processes to ensure the integrity, safety, and availability of all data and applications, supporting both customer goals and business needs. The analyst is responsible for planning, system development, project management, and application administration, requiring a strong understanding of the organization’s policies, procedures, and business operations. Key activities include evaluating problem tickets, service requests, system change requests, data retrieval requests, and system performance issues, participating in their timely resolution. The role involves independently resolving complex, multi-function application errors and system issues, and is primarily responsible for building and maintaining system dictionaries, profiles, tables, and other configuration points. The analyst identifies system enhancement requests, works with the team on implementation, and independently manages the full lifecycle of medium to large optimizations, coordinating with vendors as needed. Testing of system configurations, customizations, and new releases before production implementation is crucial. The role also involves assisting end-users with system report design and testing, communicating changes, and leading or facilitating system design, validation, or remediation sessions. An advanced understanding of how the assigned application impacts other systems is required, along with collaboration with integration teams to resolve complex data integration issues. The analyst leads large projects, acts as a subject matter expert on complex, cross-functional projects, and provides guidance to level I and II analysts, performing these functions with minimal oversight. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience with the application, module or equivalent system as assigned.
  • Advanced knowledge of the assigned applications in at least one functional area.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
  • Experience with Kronos Software applications required (Payroll Department only).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience with the application, module or equivalent system as assigned, including experience working in a Health Care Application Services department, preferably within an acute care environment.
  • Experience with data query tools such as SQL.
  • All relevant application certifications and/or badges within area of support (IT Department).
  • Other certification with the application(s) within their area of responsibility and support (IT Department).
